Inspection register – inspection deadlines and records under control

Ladders, racks, cranes, electrical equipment or fire extinguishers: many work items have to be inspected regularly. In the AMS Go inspection register you record all items that require inspection with their intervals, get reminded of upcoming inspections and always have the records at hand.

What it looks like in everyday work

Ladders yearly, electrical devices every six months, fire extinguishers every two years, doors, racking, forklifts, cranes, pressure vessels: a mid-sized company quickly accumulates hundreds of items subject to testing with different intervals – and a spreadsheet nobody likes to open.

The inspection register in AMS Go knows every item with its legal basis, interval, last and next test. It reminds you in time, stores reports and turns defects into actions – per site, with an overview for management.

How it works in AMS Go

  1. 1

    Record equipment

Import from your list or capture directly in the app with photo and inventory number. Templates with reference values for intervals and legal bases help with classification.

  2. 2

    Set intervals

Per item or group you define interval, type of test and tester – internal or external. The interval from the risk assessment is documented.

  3. 3

    Get reminded in time

AMS Go notifies owners of upcoming tests and shows in the dashboard what is due in the coming weeks – by site and group.

  4. 4

    Test and document

Result, measured values and report are stored with the item, the next due date is calculated automatically. Defects become actions in the action plan.

Duty and legal basis

Testing duties for work equipment

The employer defines type, scope and intervals of tests in the risk assessment and has them carried out by qualified persons. Results must be recorded and kept at least until the next test. Electrical equipment is additionally covered by the German DGUV regulation 3.

Frequently asked questions

Can external testing providers upload their reports?

Yes, via a guest account or by storing the reports as PDF with the item. Measured values from common test instruments can be imported.

Which equipment can I manage in the register?

All of it – ladders, racking and doors, electrical equipment, industrial trucks and cranes, fire extinguishers, fall protection PPE and installations subject to monitoring. Groups with a shared interval make maintenance easier.

What happens when a test fails?

The item is marked as blocked and the defect becomes an action in the action plan – with owner and deadline for repair or replacement.

Can I evaluate failure rates?

Yes. Per test run and group you see the failure rate – the basis for extending or shortening intervals with justification.
